Floating offshore wind platforms are overengineered. They are designed like land structures, with deep drafts that require specialized ports and large cranes. Maintenance is difficult and costly. When something breaks, it must be fixed at sea. This creates delays, risks, and high expenses. There is no rapid, cost-effective way to service these systems.

The Solution

We are designing a complete wind platform and turbine system that tows to shore for service. No offshore crews. No specialty infrastructure. Fast turnaround. Everything is built around servicing turbines on land, not in open water.

Benefits

Our design is intended to reduce the levelized cost of electricity by up to 50 percent and cut maintenance costs by up to 80 percent. By working in both shallow and deep water, it should also triple site access. Our systems will be built for utility-scale developers and range from 5 to 10 megawatts.
